Black Friday is next week, and Nordstrom has started ahead of time. Its Black Friday deals went live this week, with markdowns across all departments, from home to beauty. The women’s-fashion section is always a goldmine in any Nordstrom sale, and I’ve already spotted deals on Hokas, Skims, Madewell jeans, and a Steve Madden dress I’m eyeing up for New Year’s Eve. Meanwhile, reductions in the home section are a cook’s dream: There are discounts on Staub and Our Place, as well as all of the Le Creuset you can imagine (including its classic Dutch oven at over 40 percent off).
The other sections aren’t to be ignored, either: Men’s fashion has the best footwear deals — I spotted reductions on Salomons and a handsome pair of New Balances. There’s also some great offers on goodies for little ones — including a Mini Boden cardigan I’ve been cooing over — and markdowns on beauty favorites, including the eminently giftable Anastasia Beverly Hills’ brow wizz. And as the holidays approach, I’ve found plenty of reduced festive décor.
As always with Nordstrom, I suggest acting fast, as there’s no guarantee how long stock will last. Once you’re done here, read our guide to the rest of the best early Black Friday deals (so far.)
Updated on November 24: Updated prices and checked stock for all products.
Deals I personally think are the best
A Le Creuset discount must be hefty to be enticing, and 40 percent off its signature Dutch oven (bringing it down to $200) is just that. Elsewhere, I spotted a 40 percent savings on a staple T-shirt bra from Natori, one of our favorite tried-and-tested underwear brands. Our deals editor Sam Daly also spotted this snug cashmere beanie — which was a last-minute Christmas present best seller last year — at a very Secret Santa–friendly $26.
Women’s fashion
Nordstrom always has great deals on women’s fashion — including some pieces that have been patiently waiting on my wish list (like a new pair of Hokas). With holiday-party season approaching, I also was on the lookout for a new LBD — my heart is now set on a slinky Steve Madden number — as well as some Mary Janes to pair with it. And if you’re feeling the cold, I found plenty of cashmere sweaters and chunky knits.
Men’s fashion
The footwear deals are strong in the men’s fashion department: A pair of Salomon XT-6s are reduced, and some timeless New Balance sneakers are now under $100. And to beat the chill, I spotted some seriously reduced sweatshirts, as well as a handsome water-repellent jacket from Nike.
Beauty
I love getting a great deal on beauty classics, like M.A.C lipstick and Anastasia brow kits. I’m also lusting after some Tom Ford, and plenty of its eau de parfum sets are on sale in time for Christmas, including its cherry scent that I smelled in a department store last December and have been thinking about ever since.
Home
Your kitchen is in for a treat, as Nordstrom has slashed prices on plenty of Staub, GreenPan sauce pots and frying pans, and the ever-popular Le Creuset Dutch oven (now just $200). I also found picks to help get your home cozy as we move through winter: Think throws blankets and waffled bedding.
Holidays
If you’ve retrieved your tree from the attic only to find it looking worse for wear, don’t fear: There are plenty of deals on trees that’ll arrive before December. There’s up to 30 percent off on all sizes, from little four-foot options to nine-foot giants. Elsewhere, I spotted wreaths and other teeny trinkets.
Travel
Need a weekender to visit home for the holidays? There are good deals on some of our favorites: an expandable carry-on from Antler, as well as options from Herschel.
Kids
Finally, the deals for little ones (including the Mini Boden jumper I wish came in a non-mini size!). There’s no shortage of big brand names in the kids’ sale: I spotted some Vans and Next overalls for babies, as well as Levi’s, Nikes, and Ralph Lauren options for older kids.
