The Strategist Made a Home-Storage Collection With Yamazaki — in Forest Green

The Japanese home-goods line Yamazaki Home has appeared all over the Strategist through the years. That’s because it’s figured out how to make inexpensive everyday items that otherwise would be hideous … actually very nice-looking. According to our writers, it makes one of the best kitchen carts, one of the best shoe organizers, and the best dish rack and clothing hamper. Its wall ladder is a wonderful alternative to the dreaded “clothes chair,” and its magnetic rack helps even the smallest kitchen feel uncluttered.

Which is why we were very excited when the brand asked if we would want to collaborate with it on a line. Our first thought was color! Yamazaki Home is known for its minimalist aesthetic (most things are white, black, or gray, with some wood accents), and we wondered, would it ever go … green? They were excited by the idea, and so before you is our new special-edition set of forest-green homewares, all of which are meant to be storage solutions for small spaces. Aren’t they lovely?
