On the Cover: Illustration by Seymour Chwast. Chwast produced many illustrations for New York in its early years (his first cover was a portrait of Johnny Carson in 1968), and now, at 93, he returns for an encore. Of the fellow on this cover: “I thought, What can you do with a gift box? — and came up with a dancing man, inspired by Busby Berkeley films from the 1930s.”
